The inevitable Terms & Conditions

At CruiserStuff, we want to give our customers the most enjoyable shopping experience, one that will keep them coming back to our store time and time again.

That’s why we believe that our store policies should be fair, clear and transparent.

Just like the blue LandCruiser FJ45 in the home page carousel is a work in progress, so you’ll find a list of our policies below, which is also a work in progress, which will be updated as time goes by. If you can’t find the information you’re looking for - please don’t hesitate to contact us!

First of all – do no harm.

  • This means that both parties must play fair.
  • ​Please don’t try to squeeze more out of a deal, than what is being offered.
  • Please don’t return items after you’ve used it once, or twice, or a gazillion times, just to get your money back. I might be young and inexperienced, but my dad is an o-l-d dog who’s seen all these tricks before and he’ll be watching over your shoulder.

VAT

  • ​Fortunately, the business is still new and very small, so I’m not forced to take on a Silent Partner at Revenue Services (which means I’m not a VAT Vendor), although we make regular donations to them, every time we buy all these nice goodies to sell to you.

Courier

  • ​We mainly make use of The Courier Guy, but in certain instances, we might need to utilise a different courier company. Some of them might have the speed of a homing pigeon (that’s a “posduif” for you upstanding Afrikaans speaking folk) or a runner with a cleft stick (“mikstok” – even my dad had to find the English word for this Lekker Afrikaans phrase). So, because of this, please don’t come running and screaming at me because SlowWay didn’t deliver on their Fast promise to bring your package el pronto.

  • Hey, I'm a newbie and above all, I'm human; so if I totally and utterly mess up your order - Please Forgive Me, but don't forget me - I need your business.
  • If Dad messed up along the way, please Try to forgive him; after all, he does have a daytime job as well and can't spend Every waking hour on my business. You know: E&OE and all that stuff.

Quality

  • Mom and Dad do their absolute best to find quality products and suppliers so that I can provide you with very decent and very affordable products, which should last you for many, many, many happy hours.
  • Should something be seriously wrong with the item that you have purchased, please drink your stress tablets, take a whiskey or a beer or a high tea with the girls; then sit down and write me a polite e-mail explaining what is wrong and how I can try to make your life better again.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

ORDERS PLACED ONLINE FOR CruiserStuff  PRODUCTS, ARE SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CruiserStuff.

Payment

1.1 The terms of payment are strictly EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) at time of placement of your order - prior to shipment of your order.

1.2 For the sake of clarity, an account is deemed to have been honoured either by payment via the credit card facilities on www.CruiserStuff.co.za, (once available) or by cleared funds having been received at CruiserStuff‘s bank (Account details: J Wolfaardt, Capitec Bank, Branch code: 470010, Savings Account No: 1362827809).

1.3 Payment through CruiserStuffs Electronic Banking Facilities is the only approved method of payment.

No remitting of cheques or other instruments by mail or other means shall be accepted as payment.

1.4 CruiserStuff shall have retention of title to all goods for which payment has not been received in full by CruiserStuff.

Orders shall only be processed once the conditions above have been met.

Return of Goods

2.1 Unless specifically stated in writing CruiserStuff does not supply goods on a “Sale or Return” basis.

2.2 We will accept returns for unused and undamaged complete products (all contents & accessories are included), which are in saleable condition, however, a 10% handling fee will be levied.

2.3 CruiserStuff does not accept goods for re-packing.

Credit Notes and refunds

3.1 No refunds or credit notes shall be given. CruiserStuff shall only consider an exchange of the same product or another product to the same value of the purchase. Only unused and undamaged complete products (all contents & accessories are included), which are in saleable condition, shall be considered.

Warranty

4.1 Unless otherwise stated on the packaging of a product or on CruiserStuff.co.za, all products manufactured or distributed by CruiserStuff, shall not carry a warranty. For those items, which are honoured by a warranty (as stated on the packaging of a product or on CruiserStuff.co.za), said warranty shall be from the date of purchase, against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship Only and abuse or incorrect usage shall wholly void any applicable warranty.

4.2 CruiserStuff will not accept any claim for any consequential losses arising out of the purchase of any of our products, the usage thereof, or as a result of a warranty claim.

4.3 Warranty claims will not be credited or taken back for a cash refund.

4.4 The warranty does not cover the error of fitment, where applicable.

4.5 The warranty is invalidated if the CruiserStuff supplied product is used in combination with non-approved products from a third party, where applicable.

4.6 CruiserStuff shall not be drawn into site visits for the purposes of Warranty checks or any other reason whatsoever, even if it is found that the fault is that of a CruiserStuff supplied product.

Prices

5.1 Prices will always be those ruling at the date of dispatch unless a specific fixed price quotation has been agreed by CruiserStuff when submitting a written quotation.

5.2 CruiserStuff will always endeavour to give as much notice as possible of any price increases but due to fluctuating costs of materials linked to local inflation and monetary foreign exchange rate fluctuations, prices may be subject to change without notice.

Any change in the exchange rate of more than 5% may result in a price revision.

5.4 All prices quoted are inclusive of Value Added Tax at the prevailing rate of South Africa.

5.5 E. & O.E. (Errors and Omissions Excepted)

Delivery

6.1 All items which are in stock at the time of placement of the order, shall usually be dispatched within 48 hours from payment received as per clause 1.2, excluding Sundays and Public Holidays. Large orders might exceed this period, but in such event, the purchaser shall be notified imminently.

6.2 Currently delivery will only take place within the borders of South Africa unless a collection is arranged from CruiserStuff by the customer.

6.2 All delivery dates are given in good faith, but any delay in delivery for any reason shall not constitute any breach of contract and no claims arising out of late delivery shall be considered.

6.2 Delivery times shall not be ‘of the essence’, unless a specific promise is given in writing stating that the delivery time quoted ‘shall be of the essence’ of the contract.

6.3 Deliveries are handled by external courier companies and as such, the risk passes to the relevant courier company at the time of handing over an order to the particular courier.

Specification

7.1 Unless otherwise stated, specifications generally will conform to that quoted on the website, but we reserve the right to alter such specification without notice.

7.2 The colours of items displayed might be different on your device, than real life. This could be due to a number of factors, such as the colour settings of your device's display, lighting around your device and even the fact that different human beings could perceive colours differently. The photographs (and especially those related to clothing), are taken by professional photographers with calibrated displays, to resemble the colours as closely as is humanly possible. Please keep this in mind and refer to the colour description of each item as well.

General

No responsibility is accepted for delay caused by war, force majeure, restraint or control by government, strikes, lockouts, disputes, accidents to works, plants or machinery or any other circumstances beyond control, which affect or interfere with the production or delivery of goods sold, and we reserve the right to cancel or suspend orders or deliveries on the occurrence of such eventualities.

Definitions

The company, also referred to as CruiserStuff, shall mean J Wolfaardt Sole Proprietor trading as CruiserStuff. Purchaser shall mean to whom the order acknowledgment, and/or invoice is addressed.
